My humble town..

Ok so today the trip is going to take you to my hometown right here in little Denmark. The pictures are gonna be mixed from seasons, days ect but I hope you will still enjoy them.

This first picture is taken on my street...I live a little futher up the hill.

This is our local castle...it's really pretty and a dear friend of mine took this picture..

This is the tower on it durring daylight...it has been burned seriously at least twice so part of it is newer than others..

Moving on to the newer parts of town. This is my favorite café. It's called The blue café, and its super nice. They make the best hot chocolate ever!!

This is a random alley downtown...our downtown is walking and biking only so it's pretty nice that you don't have to worry about cars while slepping around your bags.

This is a little canal going through our town...it's super nice to sit there in the summer. All year round it is the home for a lot of ducks and swans that everybody feeds and enjoys. They're really friendly and even the swans wants to be handfed.

This is one of the shoppingstreets. Again no driving of any kind.

This is a hotel downtown...if the picture had been a little more to the left you'd see our city hall. Twice pr. week there is a nice produce market here.

This is just a random building starting off the walking area.

This is our city hall. I think it's rather pretty and I love that in the summer it's covered in a huge bush thing.

This is one of the oldest buildings left in town. It actually houses a nightclub and a mexican restaurent.

This is the only church in the downtown area...it're really pretty on the inside.

In the wintertime the water always comes up in the canal..on the really bad days you can't see the steps at all.

When the weather is like this, most people run to the mall and it's really easy to get all your shopping done downtown...no lines at all.

This house is in the center of my street...it's really cool and this picture doesn't do it justice at all. The flags are form my local grocerystore. Yup, it takes me 5 min to walk there. How nice i that??

This is one of the sidestreets downtown..this one you're allowed to drive in, although as most streets downtown, it's a one way street and it's not fun to navigate this area.

This one is gonna be a little different from the other posts I've made..I'm gonna leave the pictures to speak for themselves. If you click on the pictures you'll see the real reason why I've posted them. This size really doesn't do them any justice at all.

What happens at a catshow!

OK so I thought I'd share a little bit about what to expect on a catshow. I took these pictures on a show I went to in Germany. I didn't have Milo then but the breeder I went with had a huge british shorthair, so needless to say, those are the ones that I will have the most pictures of.

In this first one another breeder (owner of Milos brother) is waiting her turn at the judges table. This judge is very well liked and he has an awsome way with the felines...even the fertile ones that can be a little cranky because of all the feline girls in heat.

On this day the judge had a student with him who wants to be a judge. He was explaining everything to her as he evaluated Didrik.

When he is done with Didrik, he hands him over to the student, who now has a chance to "see" everything.

Yup he really is a handsome boy.

Now it's Ozzys turn. This is the cat who's slave I got to go to the show with. Here the judge is feeling his skull to see if it is shaped right. Ozzy is still a young man and will continue to develop over the next couple of years. Notice the massive cheeks he has...those are hormones.

Let me have a look at your legs and feet, so have a look at my fancy feather

When it is all said and done the judge explains the differences in Didrik and Ozzy, and of course Ozzy gets a little cuddle while that's going on.

The vote is in and between those two, Didrik is the winner on this day, so congratulations to him.

Now it's time for a tour around the cages to have a look at some of the other cats.

This one is a rex cat. I don't remember if it's at Devon or the other kind of rex cats. The owners is SUPER nice and I always meet them when I am around catshows. They're really sweet, and both totally in love with their cats, who on this day (and always) won everything she could.

I think this is a bobtail or sibirian forrestcat, but i'm not sure.

At the end of the day we're all tired and ready to go home. I will be going to my next show on Sep. 1st, and will make sure to bring my camera so you can see what it looks like when you go to a danish show. Hope you enjoyed the pretty cats.

Copenhagen - my capital

up on numerous requests I am hereby starting a picture blog to share some of the photoes I've taken throughout trips and life in genral. The first post is gonna be a trubute to Copenhagen, the Capital of Denmark. This is only a small pert of this beautiful city and I hope to go back there soon to see more of it and to bring pictures back to share with you.

This first picture is of the city hall of CPH. it's not very pretty but it seems to be a good place to start.

Denmark has royalty, and it is only normal to show you all where they live...this is the Queens house. She lives here most of the year, but do spend her summers in Jylland and on a cruise around DK. It is called Amalienborg, and up to last year the crownprince and princess lived here too.

The castle contains 4 of these buildings. If the flag is up, the queen is home.

Just like in England the queen has her own army protecting her.

On a little sidestreet by the castle you will find this church. It is called the marble church, and yes you guessed it right, it's made out of marble. I don't know the history of it but this picture doesn't do it justice at all, and if you're ever in Copenhagen, this is one of those things you can NOT miss.

Moving on to the lighter side of things. This next picture is of the little mermaide. She is very tiny but that doesn't stop her from having visitors from all around the world.

..and this is the guy who made her famous...our own Hans Christian Andersen. Author of the little mermaide and many other beautiful fairytales and poetry.

The ugly duckling is another one of his more famous fairytales.

Moving on to buildings I think are totally awsome.

This is Rosenborg Castle. This is where the crownjewels are kept. It is amazingly beautiful. I am sorry for the bad picture but we were driving.

One of the older preserved streets in CPH. A danish tv series was filmed here making it very popular to danish tourists.

I'm gonna end this photojourney with a picture of the bridge that brings me back home. When it was built it was the 2nd. longest hanging bridge in the world. Only passed by a bridge openening a month earlier in Asia.
